SALES POLICIES
We reserve the right to retain any goat kid.
We maintain a waiting list for our goat kids. Customers are contacted when goat kids are born in the order in which they were placed on the list and offered right of first refusal in that same order. A deposit is considered forfeited if refusal of animal is based on color.
Goat kids are sold on a first come, first monetary deposit basis. A deposit of 50% of the purchase price will hold the animal until pick up date. Deposits are non-refundable unless animal becomes ill or dies.
If for some reason your interest in Goodrich Meadows animals is no longer, then deposits are forfeited. Deposits are NON- REFUNDALE no exceptions.
Pick up must be arranged at time of deposit for a mutually agreed upon date. Any animals not picked up by that date will be placed back up for sale and deposit will be forfeited.
We will not sell a newborn, as we feel that they get the best start in life when they receive colostrum from their dams. We offer two scenarios to buyers: 1.) You may either pick up at two weeks old and continue to bottle feed until weaning, OR 2.) We will bottle raise the kids for you for an additional $25 fee per week.
Our goat kids are disbudded. If you want horns intact, you must make arrangements with a non-refundable deposit for the entire purchase price prior to birth.
All males will be wethered (castrated) prior to leaving our farm. If you are interested in a buckling for breeding purposes, please contact us. We will only sell top quality intact buckling's who meet conformation requirements for breed standard and registry.
We sell goat kids in pairs or to approved farms who already have livestock.
We will only ship with approved transporters. CVI's, health certificates, or any health tests are to be paid for by the buyer.
We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason.
We cannot guarantee the show career, milk production, or mature height of any animal
Purchase price includes continued mentoring from Goodrich Meadows as desired by buyer.
Keep in mind, we will not be the cheapest or the most expensive. We won't haggle with purchase prices. If someone sees our animals and feels that they are worth the investment, then we know it's a home/farm we want our animals going to. We will entertain trades occasionally (i.e. hay, etc.), so feel free to ask.
INTACT BREEDING ANIMAL GUARANTEE:
Bucks : Any REGISTERED buck with tattoo's from our farm that is unable to produce kids may be replaced at our discretion.
A health check by a veterinarian is required along with documents proving he is infertile. Our REGISTERED bucks are guaranteed not to have any teat abnormalities, such as split teats or extra teats. We check all kids before they leave. However, if we were to miss one we will replace the buck for the ORIGINAL PURCHASER as long as we can prove he was ours. (Tattoo's and matching our photo records.) Breeding guarantees expire when the buck turns 2 years old OR when he is sold/transferred from the original buyer.
Does: Any REGISTERED doe with tattoo's from our farm that is proven to be unable to become pregnant due to genetic abnormalities may be replaced at our discretion. A health check by a veterinarian is required along with documents stating why she is unable to become pregnant (ex: hermaphrodite). Our REGISTERED does are guaranteed not to have teat abnormalities, such as split teats or extra teats. We check all kids before they leave. However, if we were to miss one we will replace the doe for the ORIGINAL PURCHASER as long as we can prove the doe was ours. (Tattoo's & matches our photo record). Breeding Guarantees expire when the doe turns 2 years old OR when she is sold/transferred from the original buyer.
